The national fundraising campaign - Stand Up To Cancer - has been backed by Hemel Hempstead volunteers.

Helpers from the Cancer Research Shop in Marlowes donned T-shirts displaying the slogan and young helpers Daniella Rice and Brianna Lawton hit the streets dressed as Disney characters on Saturday to raise funds.

The Function Rooms helped boost funds further with a pink-themed night.

So far £850 has been raised but the amount is set to increase when Hemel Hempstead School hosts a fundraiser on Friday.
