Will former Tring Park girl be next winner of The X Factor?

A girl who studied at Tring Park School is on the cusp of making it to the live shows of The X Factor.

Gabriella Henderson, 16, passed the boot camp stage of the contest on Sunday with a rendition of Believe by Cher that brought judge Nicole Scherzinger to tears.

Gary Barlow told Gabriella the song was very high up in his ‘most annoying songs’ list.

But he said: “I would pay a lot of money to hear that version again. That was amazing. Well done.”

Judges will now have to decide if she will make it to the live shows, where the public vote on which act gets a recording contract.

Gabriella, from Lincolnshire, won a scholarship to Tring Park School for the Performing Arts aged 12. She said studying as a boarder there helped her ‘grow as a person’.

Tring Park spokesman Miriam Juviler congratulated Gabriella, but said the school aims to develop ‘long, fulfilling’ careers and that TV show success can be short-lived.
