Youth project is instant hit

A club for young people has seen more than 1,000 young people through the door in the first month.

Tring Youth Project's revamped Temperance Hall, on Christchurch Road, Tring, has been an instant hit with the town's youth.

Young people have flocked to their new social base since its official opening on February 10.

Youth leader Dominic Bowers said: "I am over the moon and couldn't wish for a better start. My staff have been fantastic and I have had some great volunteers so far. They have been a God send.

"All the kids who have come are of different ages and have great personalities.

"It is lovely to have such a great bunch of kids in Tring and it is enjoyable to work with them all. They all bring something different to the club which makes the enjoyable to open up every day."

The hall has a big screen, games consoles and places to relax for young people and is open on weekdays from 3.30-6.30pm.
