The prestigious Tring Park School has won the Chilterns Building Design Award for its new performance studios.

Designed by architects Burrell Foley Foscher, the studios were built using donations and money raised through the Tring Park Piano Fund.

Principal Stefan Anderson said: “We are delighted to have won such a prestigious award for our new state-of-the-art performance studio.”

The awards are organised by the Chilterns Conservation Board and the Chilterns Society as a way to encourage the highest possible quality in building design, and in turn aim to preserve the character and outstanding natural beauty of the Chiltern Hills.

The studio was voted overall winner because it “fits well within its garden setting, and brings together function and beauty with calmness and serenity.”
