Tring’s own Apple Fayre returned on Sunday, for the opening day of a month filled with pomaceous fun.

Jeacock’s Orchard hosted a range of family fun, from farmers’ market stalls and apple pressing, to traditional crafts, medieval displays, livestock, games and apple-y refreshments.

And if you missed the deciduous delights then don’t worry. This Saturday (October 14) Tring Farmers’ Market will host the Pippin Parade and the Magnolia Apple Cart Procession.

Highlights will include local school ‘scarecrows’, Morris dancing, and hop-bearing.

And two weeks later, on October 28, the market will host the October Apple Bake Off.

Sign up via mail@kiwichik.co.uk and you will be given a recipe to bake for the chance to be crowned Tring Apple Fayre Champion Baker.
