Tring’s traditional bonfire and fireworks night has undergone a makeover for the first time in a decade.
People have been promised that the fiery event – which is on Saturday, November 2 – is set to be bigger and better than previous years.
Its traditional programme of entertainment has been spiced up with new additions such as a musical accompaniment, wrestling and a celebrity appearance.
TV personality and Masterchef 2010 winner Lisa Faulkner will light the bonfire after a special guest appearance from the Wrestleforce team.
Cricket club spokesman Nick Wake said: “We did some market research after last year and the feedback we received indicated it was time to change. This year will be an event by local people, for local people and worthy of the town.”
Another change has seen discounted family tickets go on sale before the event. These cost £13 and cover two adults and up to three children below the age of 16.
Tickets are available from The Akeman, Hunters Estate Agents, Roy Chapman Ltd, Tring Brewery and the cricket club.
Family tickets on the night will cost £16, adults £6, children under 16 £4 and under fives go free.
Proceeds from the night will go towards funding sports development in the town.
