Two cars and van collide on the Leighton Buzzard Road in Hemel Hempstead

A motorist had to be taken to hospital after two cars were in collision with a van this morning.

Police and paramedics were called to the stretch of the Leighton Buzzard Road near Piccotts End at about 8.30am today.

A black Renault Scenic and a silver Vauxhall Astra had been in collision with a silver Citroen Dispatch van.

East of England Ambulance Service spokesman Richard Dunne said: “We were called at 8.35am and treated a woman in her 30s who had suffered a neck injury. She was taken to Watford General where her condition wasn’t thought to be serious.”

Police left the area at about 9.45am and later went to hospital to talk to one of the people involved in the smash.
