A 37-year-old man has been arrested after a stabbing in Hemel Hempstead this afternoon.
Emergency services attended the scene in Highfield after reports a man had been attacked.
The man, in his 50s, was injured in the serious assault, which took place in Wensleydale.
Police, an ambulance and a paramedic officer attended the scene shortly after 1pm.
A spokesman for the East England Ambulance Service Trust said the victim remained stable as he was treated at the scene for a leg wound, caused by a possible stabbing.
Paramedics managed to stem the bleeding and the man was then taken to Watford General Hospital, though his condition is not thought to be life-threatening.
A man from Watford, aged 37, has been arrested in connection with the incident.
