Victory for JFK schoolboy in youth elections

Earlier this year Youth Connexions in Hertfordshire supported 23 young candidates across the county who were taking part in the elections for Hertfordshire UK Youth Parliament.

There were 10 districts taking part in the youth elections.

Within each district both schools and youth projects were encouraged to support their local candidate.

Nicholas Gardner, a Year 11 student at John F Kennedy Catholic School was a candidate and ran a campaign in order to be elected and represent the Youth of Dacorum.

The election results were announced at Hertford County Hall.

In attendance was Councillor Richard Roberts, executive member for childrens’ services.

John F Kennedy Catholic School was very pleased to announce that student Nicholas Gardner was successfully elected as a Member of the Youth Parliament and will represent Dacorum for 12 months.
