Vote for Tring’s Get Stuffed in the 2013 Chortle Awards

Tring’s comedy club Get Stuffed has been nominated for the Best Venue in the South in the annual Chortle Awards – and you can help the Pendley-based comedy crew to the title.

Comedy fans can vote online for Get Stuffed in the ‘best southern venue’ category of the annual awards, and the club’s managing director Ben Moorhouse is appealing for more support in the hope that the West Herts humour headquarters can take top spot.

He said: “The vote seems to be going very well – around 50 per cent of those people who have opened the email urging them to vote have actually done so, which I think is a high proportion.”

Ben said he has also seen a lot of people talking about voting on social media platforms Facebook and Twitter.

When asked what it would mean for Get Stuffed to win, Ben said: “For me, it’s another way of promoting the club. Awareness of the club will be higher, and it will be another feather in the cap for us.

“Hopefully, bigger and better acts will come to perform at the club. I’m feeling quite optimistic.”

The voting will end on Wednesday morning at 10am, and every vote counts.
