Ho, Ho, Ho, it’s behind you! Yes it’s that time of year again and the pantomimes are coming thick and fast at theatres all over the area.
There’s something to please everyone and at the Watford Palace Theatre the festive treat is a very popular tale.
Sleeping Beauty tells the story of beautiful Princess Rose who lies in an enchanted 100 year long sleep.
That’s thanks to the wicked fairy Arachnia who is out to destroy the pretty princess’s life.
But the wicked fairy has reckoned with out the love and support of cook Donna Kebab and her friends who love and adore the princess.
And perhaps Prince Alexander will have to travel through time to wake the beautiful princess with a kiss.
Written by Andrew Pollard, who also wrote Jack and the Beanstalk in 2011, Mother Goose in 2012 and Robin Hood in 2013, the pantomime stars panto dame favourtie Terrence Frisch as the indomitable Donna Kebab.
Sheena Patel glitters as Fairy Fashionista, Jill McAusland as Princess Rose and Erica Guyatt as the evil wicked fairy Arachnia.
Live musicians, stunning sets and costumes will ensure a sparkling family extravaganza that will provide plenty of opportunity for audience participation with song, dance, slapstick and laughs aplenty.
The show is co-directed by the Watford Palace Theatre’s director Brigid Larmour and creative associate Shona Morris.
The pantomime starts on Friday December 5 and runs through until Saturday December 27.
