There will be a sponsored dog walk around the scenic Ashridge Estate on Sunday to raise money for a good cause.
It sets off at 10am from the Bridgewater Monument, and there will be one- and five-mile routes on offer to participants. There will be on-route refreshments for walkers and fresh water for dogs.
It costs £5 to register in advance to take part at www.gaddesdenplacerda.org.uk or by phoning 01279 731537.
The event is being staged to raise money for the Gaddesden Place Riding for the Disabled Centre, based in Red Lion Lane, Briden’s Camp.
The centre, first formed in 1974, gives horse-riding lessons to people with mental and physical disabilities.
