We’re doing it for Dingers

Six amateur cyclists will pedal a total of 600 miles in September in memory of former Berkhamsted School teacher Edward Dingwall.

Ed – known affectionately as Dingers to his students – taught history and politics, and passed away after battling bowel cancer in March last year, aged just 28.

Among the group is Ed’s brother James, and he will join five others in the ride – dubbed the Tour de Berko – from Dingwall in Scotland and finishing at Berkhamsted School on September 8.

The money raised will be used to fund memorial lectures on sport, history and politics – Ed’s three main passions – which will be open to the public at the school.
