A Peach of a day for racing fanatic Mark
Mark Peach and Sir Jackie Stewart at Silverstone
A TEENAGER from Ringshall was in pole position as the British Grand Prix at Silverstone.
Great Ormond Street Hospital patient Mark Peach, 16, was Bernie Ecclestone’s VIP guest at British motorsport’s flagship event.
Mark was diagnosed at Great Ormond Street Hospital with cystic fibrosis at just six weeks, and was treated to the Silverstone trip as part of an ongoing relationship between Formula 1 and the hospital.
Whilst at the event, Mark also met Belgian racing driver Jerome D’Ambrosio and the legendary Flying Scot, Sir Jackie Stewart.
Earlier in the week, the F1 Party was held at Battersea Evolution in London, raising £540,000 for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity.
