It was another warm morning at Tring Park this Saturday for the 113 runners taking part in the Tring parkrun.

The race included 16 first-timers, while 30 runners improved their best times – notably Louise Brookes, Sam Bojarski and Keith Stonestreet who all improved their PBs by almost a minute.

At the end of the run there were plenty of cakes on offer to celebrate event director Andy Evans’ milestone 100th parkrun.

At the front of the field, James Davis of Vale of Aylesbury AC was first over the line in 18:21 – his seventh time as the fastest finisher.

Kirk Clifford of Team Jules was second over the line in 19:43, followed by Tom North of Gade Valley Harriers.

For the ladies, Amy Goss of Tring RC was the fastest finisher in 23:28. Lynda Hembury, also of Tring RC, was second, and Catherine Pyefinch of Bearbrook Running Club came home in third.

Fastest boys this week were James Bailey, Freddie Truman-Williams and Daniel Evans and for the girls were Amelia Evans, Hope Scahill and Heidi Evans.
