The Herts Sports Partnership team is inviting businesses across Hertfordshire to go head-to-head with other companies as part of a nationwide workplace fitness initiative.
The Workplace Challenge Herts programme starts in the new year and will see employees battle it out to win points for their business by taking part in sport and physical activity.
The company with the highest number of points will clinch the title of the most active workplace in Hertfordshire.
The Workplace Challenge Herts website underpins the programme, which is designed to create an online community of businesses and individuals.
The website allows participants to log the amount of sport, exercise, physical activity and active travel they do, which converts into points and puts them into a series of leader-boards.
Workers can compete against colleagues in the same office, across different departments or sites, or go head-to-head against other organisations.
The first eight-week challenge starts on Monday, January 6.
Joe Capon from the Herts Sports Partnership said: “We are delighted to be launching Workplace Challenge Herts and we really hope the business community take on the challenge and in turn encourage their staff to be more active.”
