This week’s Tring parkrun saw local runner Dom Evans become the first of the Tring regulars to reach the impressive milestone of 100 parkruns.

Junior Reece Wilcock also reached the first milestone along this path, as he completed his 10th parkrun.

Tring Running Club visited as part of their club championship, swelling the numbers to 125 runners this week with 59 recording new PBs.

This included impressive improvements from Jim Patterson (2:33), Kate Bailey (1:54), Reece Wilcock (1:35) and Patrick Scahill (1:31).

At the front of the field, James Davis of Vale of Aylesbury AC and Jordan Clay of Leighton Buzzard AC had a very close run, with James first over the line in 17:58 – his sixth time in 11 appearances.

Jordan was just 10 seconds later, with Stephen Burgess of Tring RC a place further back in third.

In the ladies’ results this week, Kate Rennie was the fastest female in 20:26 in her first appearance at Tring.

Sophie Green of Tring RC was the second female to cross the line, with Rosanna Iannone of Vale of Aylesbury AC taking third.

There were a number records set this week, including Kate Rennie setting a new female course record and Kirk Clifford setting a new age-graded course record.

There were further age-category records from Kevin Harding, Mary Ward, Rosanna Iannone and Nic Williams.
