Back to back for Aces Black

Hemel Stag Aces Black clinched back to back league titles on Sunday.

The West Herts League U10 side beat Tornados to win the Green league, with a goal either side of half time from Daniel Miles and Jamie Stone. Skillful Aaron Whitehead was man of the match.

Falling just short were U9 side Hemel Panthers, who beat Evergreen 2-1 in their last game of the season but finished second overall in their league.

Callum Mansell got both goals in the game, with keeper Harry Smith man of the match.

To the U11s, and Berkhamsted Raiders Blues overcame a resolute Watford Youth Red side in Division Four.

Euan Robertson and Peter Forssling struck once each while man of the match Eddie Duncombe bagged two in a game that Raiders had to come back in to win 4-2.

Hemel Stag Aces U11 Lions made good progress in the Herts FA Senior Cup with a 5-2 defeat of Nascot Wood Rangers.

Both James Verney and Jake Strain grabbed a couple of goals each and Ed Linnegar netted once to take them into the next round. Aces man of the match was Stephen Collingwood.

A derby game in the U12 Challenge Cup quarter final ended with Berko Raiders Red edging out rivals Hemel Youth Red.

Three up thanks to Matty Lee, George Darby and Jack Hudson, they conceded twice towards the end but hung on to seal a semi spot. Raiders goalie Jamie Slater was man of the match.

Chipperfield Corinthians won one and lost one in their double header with Alyth Belsize.

A Christian Panayi strike and an Oliver Brett spot kick won them the first game 2-1, while the second was a 2-0 loss.

Stars of the show were Louis Dunham and Brett.

Another Raiders side made cup progress as the U13 reds smashed Redwood Rangers 5-1 for a League Cup semi final place.

Trailing at half time a magical Matthew Pollard treble and goals from Cameron Williamson and Dan Drury won it.

Watford Friendly League U18 side Echoes Orange needed extra time to seal their spot in the next round of the Challenge Cup.

Ollie Gurney put them ahead in their quarter final game, flicking on a long throw from Tom Smith, but opponents London Colney equalised at the start of the second half.

The Echoes defence stood firm with man of the match Ryan Oakley in outstanding form, and Gurney popped up in added time to roll in his 24th goal of the season.
