LEVY Green lost out by the odd goal in seven as Haringey Borough took the points at Pancake Lane.
Ben Butler and Seldyn Grant found the net in the first half as Levy went in 3-2 down at half-time, and Haringey struck again after the break to claim the win.
Louis West had pulled a goal back for Steve Heath’s side, but the visitors held on well to extend Green’s losing run to three games.
“I think we deserved something out of the game if I’m honest,” said Heath. “But if you concede four goals at home, you’re not going to win games.”
“We have to remember that Haringey are a good team and for 20 minutes we dominated them.
“We had a bad 15 minutes but apart from that we were probably the better team.
“The pleasing thing was that we started to look a bit more like our old selves again.”
After a quiet opening 15 minutes on Saturday, the game sprang into life when Bekim Culaj cut the ball back for Butler to slot home and give Green the lead.
Levy could have made it 2-0 shortly afterwards, but Lewis Pritchard could not capitalise on a good opportunity and the hosts were made to pay as Roland Namquista prodded home to restore parity.
And with 34 minutes gone, Haringey took the lead as Naquista volleyed home his second from six yards out.
The visitors came close to a third, but it was Levy who struck next to level the scores.
Craig Preston beat Haringey keeper Ryohei Tamai to the ball, and Seldyn Grant was on hand to slot home the knock-down.
There was still time for Haringey to regain the lead before half-time, though, and Christopher Benjamin beat Gareth Timsley to put his side 3-2 up.
Green looked for a response after the break, but Haringey’s Dean Fenton curled home an exquisite free-kick to extend the visitors’ lead.
Green hit back inside a minute through West, but that was the last action of note and Haringey took the win.
“It’s hard because we’re lacking a bit of confidence in certain areas,” siad Heath. “We just need a bit of luck.”
