Bovingdon FC are giving people the chance to support the team by purchasing club merchandise online for the first time.

The club has joined forces with the national My Local Club campaign which aims to get more people in the UK supporting their local football club.

By joining the campaign, smaller clubs like Bovingdon FC are able to sell their merchandise online with a significant proportion of every sale going directly to the club to help with their running costs.

Bovingdon FC chairman Alan Wright said: “Bovingdon FC is a community team. We rely on volunteers to help run the club and we hope that more local people can help support the team by coming to our next home game.

“We are also really pleased to announce this collaboration with the My Local Club campaign so that local people can, for the first time, buy Bovingdon FC merchandise online”.

The club was founded early last century and teams have been playing matches at their Green Lane ground since the 1950s.
