Ex-Chelsea youth team captain Daniel Pappoe can ‘find a home’ at Hemel Town FC, according to manager Dean Brennan.

Pappoe, 22, has had stints at Colchester United and Brighton & Hove Albion since leaving Chelsea, but has found first team opportunities hard to come by.

Brennan, however, believes that the centre-back can become a big part of his Hemel team.

“I want Paps to be a part of this club for a long time,” said the Tudors boss. “He needs somewhere that he can settle, play regular first team football and really find a home.

“In his time, he’s probably had too many trials at different clubs, but now he just needs a good run of playing football.

“He has great leadership qualities – you don’t become captain of the Chelsea youth team without that.”

He added: “We just need to get him playing regularly and get him fully match fit now.”
