Champions Blues are Apsley Fabulous

Apsley Blues won Division Two of the U13 West Herts Youth League with a game in hand.

The 8-0 defeat of Berkhamsted Raiders Red saw the Blues score their 101st goal of the season under the direction of coach Stuart Colley.

U10 team Hemel Town Red scored a fantastic five without reply at Leverstock Green Cedars. Adam Seremba was fabulous in goal, while Eddie Khan (2), Sam White and Mason Davis were amongst their goalscorers.

To the U11s and unbeaten Hemel Stag Aces Lions continued their superb run with a defeat of their close rivals.

Man of the match Jake Strain scored a hat-trick as Aces won 6-2, with their other goals coming from Ed Linnegar, Harry Misselbrook andJames Verney.

Comets' consolations came from Luke Armstrong and Oran Swales.

A hard-fought battle in hot temperatures saw Hemel Stags Aces Wasps U11 beat Bovingdon 6-3.

An Aaron Hirst strike and two goals from Jack Buckingham were cancelled out by AcesAlex Styles, Alex Merrill (2) and an Edward Langley hat-trick.

An U15s Senior Challenge Cup tie went the way of Woodhall Wanderers. They beat Abbots Youth 5-1 with two goals each for the impressive Jason Potts and Mullah Muchunga.

The mercurial Silky Gakou was also on the mark in a game which saw impressive displays from Luke Gill, Conor Cawley, Ryan Finn and Ross Wilson.

Watford Friendly League side Echoes Orange U18, fielding just 10 players, crashed out of the Challenge Cup to Abbots Youth Yellow 4-1.

Echoes did well to keep it goalless against a team two divisions higher than them until the last 10 minutes when the floodgates opened.

Kyle Batchelor volleyed home their consolation.
