Comets Sports Club saw their FA National Carlsberg Sunday Cup dreams shattered as they were beaten by Upshire.

Comets have a good cup pedigree and were eyeing up a spot in the final, but their run came to an end in a 3-2 defeat, despite two goals from Ashley Addison.

It was better news for AFC Boars, however, as they beat Dun Cow 4-2 to book a place in the final of the Herts FA Sunday Senior Cup. Jay Austin, Louis Austin, Sonny French and Curtis Donaldson did the damage.

Elsewhere, VFC set up an all-BSFL Herts Intermediate Cup semi-final courtesy of a 6-2 triumph over Oxhey Jets Vets at the quarter-final stage of the competition.

Marcus Tower (2), Josh Bundey, Josh Chamberlain, Sean Foster and an own goal made sure of the win for VFC, setting up a clash with Doves United in the next round.

In league action, meanwhile, Premier Division side Park Rangers recorded a 2-0 win over Berko Tornadoes courtesy of goals from Kevin Eaton and Aaron Baverstock.

Flaunden had Matt Dean and Graham Fayers to thank for a 2-1 win at Robin Hood, while Hemel United and White Hart Rovers drew 3-3.

Drays Athletic were the big winners in Division One, thumping Sportspace 9-1 thanks to strikes from Rob Jackson (3), Jamie Smith (2), Jamie France, Russell Kercher, Chris Wright and an own goal.

Boxmoor also won well, beating Greenacres II 4-1 courtesy of Erman Housein, Andy Scott, Mike Perrin and Shaun Williams.

A Sam Flood hat-trick, along with goals from Callum Dennis and Connor Deadman earned a 5-2 win for Division Two side Doves United at Comets Reserves, while Matt Honey and Al Gunning bagged a brace apiece for KLCC in a 4-2 win at FC Intervino.

Berko Tornadoes Reserves drew 2-2 with The Patch, and Inter Hemel Sunday and The Bull Athletic shared a 1-1 draw.

In Division Three, efforts from Lewis Worham (2), Dale Colls, Tom Hill and Michael McQuade did the damage for The Three Tuns in a 5-3 triumph against Tring Royals.

Matt Dalton, Josh Hobbs and Matt Lampey were on target in Berko Athletic’s 3-2 win at AC Grapes, and Chris Armorgie, Paul Hunt, Craig Sharples and Michael Dance got the goals for Hemel Corinthians in a 4-2 triumph over Echoes Reserves.

Martin Jackson’s hat-trick earned a 3-1 victory for FC Berko at Park Rangers Reserves, and Potten End Sunday drew 1-1 with Boxmoor Rangers.

Division Four saw a big win for Palace, with Neil Harper (2), Mark Purcell (2), Jamal Ayoub and Rob Woods netting in a 6-1 victory at Poggenpohl.

Jake Hoisier (3) and Adam Robinson earned a 4-1 win for Big GC FC at Apsley Athletic, and Sean Workman, Jamie Russell and Robbie Bates netted for AMG United in a 3-1 victory over The Old Bell Gate.

Boxmoor Rangers drew 1-1 with Rose & Crown, and Herts Fencing shared a 3-3 draw with Sporting Blackbirds.
