Cup disappointment for Dacorum sides

It was not a good day for Dacorum’s Herts Junior Cup hopefuls, and Tring Athletic A set the tone with a 3-0 defeat at Elizabeth Allen FC.

Gadebridge FC went out after a 2-1 extra-time defeat at Maple Cross, while Kings Sports were beaten 2-1 home by Hadley.

Hemel Rovers stopped the rot with a comfortable 9-0 success at home to London Colney Blues, however, with Micky Hoare (3), Jordan Aikman (2), Tom Porter (2), Joe Copson and Paul Hanafan getting the goals.

Holloway Trophy action saw Potten End beat Gadebridge Reserves 4-3, with Alkesh Parmar, Dale Jenkins, Jonny Ruffett and Dafonte Diego all on the scoresheet for the village side.

It was the end of the road for Hemel Shooters in the Webster Cup after a 7-3 loss to Oxhey Jets A, despite efforts from Martin Sanseverino (2) and Dan Howard.

In league action, Division One leaders Hemel Rovers Reserves travelled to second-placed Oxhey FC and recorded a 4-0 victory courtesy of a brace by Curtis Donaldson and strikes from Asher Alleyne and Nick Jackson.

Bovingdon FC took the points in a 3-0 win over Ricky St George, but it was not such good news for Tring Athletic B who lost 5-1 to Vicarage Celtic despite a Carl Griffiths goal.

Elsewhere, Hemel Rovers A dropped their first points of the season after a 3-3 draw with Langleybury CC. Drew Duggan (2), and Rob Jackson netted for Hemel.
