Aylesbury United have moved quickly to provide cover for injured keeper Jack Sillitoe with the loan signing of Alex Tokarczyk from Hemel.
United have been left short after Sillitoe’s remarkable unbroken two-year run in Tony Joyce’s team was brought to an end by a dislocated shoulder, ironically sustained while playing against Hemel in the Red Insure Cup on Monday night.
Fans’ favourite Sillitoe has been ruled out until the new year and the Ducks have acted swiftly to bring in a replacement.
Highly rated young stopper Tokarczyk signed in time to play in tomorrow’s (Saturday) FA Trophy match against Ramsgate.
A statement on the club’s official website said: “Tokarczyk lined up against the Ducks in Monday night’s Red Insure Cup game and we are grateful to Dean Brennan and all at his parent club for their help in pushing the deal through before the signing on deadline.”
