Hemel Hempstead Town FC director of football Steve Boone has revealed that there will be a first team contract up for grabs for the most improved scholar on the club’s new Community Education Programme.

The two-year programme will provide youngsters with youth team football under the guidance of Tudors first team manager Dean Brennan and members of the first team squad, as well as the chance to gain a BTech qualification in sports science.

There is an academy open evening coming up, where prospective applicants will be able to find out more about the scheme.

The meeting will take place in the main hall at Hemel’s Vauxhall Road ground on Thursday at 6.45pm, and Year 11 students who aim to achieve four GCSE A-C grades in May are welcome to attend.
