Watford Ladies Reserves were defeated in the WSL Development League Cup group stage on Sunday when they hosted Arsenal Ladies Reserves.

Two second half Gunners goals were harsh on the Golden Girls, who put in an improved performance after the break, but they added to three first half strikes to give the visitors a 5-0 victory.

Watford Ladies Development team, meanwhile, travelled to Colne Valley Ladies FC in the London & SE Division One.

Despite falling behind twice, Watford fought back and came away with a valuable point thanks to a brace from Kemina Webber.

The result leaves Watford one point behind league leaders QPR Ladies Development.

Elsewhere, on-loan Megan Wynne helped Spurs Ladies to a fine 5-1 win over Chesham United Ladies, who included another Golden Girl, Chloe Gunn, in their line-up.

Renee Hector and Kate Natkiel both started for Brighton & Hove Albion Women against league leaders Gillingham Ladies but the in-form Gills came away with a 3-0 victory.

This weekend sees the reserve team visit Millwall Lionesses Reserves in WSL Development League, hoping to avenge a 5-2 defeat from two weeks ago.

The development team host Stevenage Borough Ladies in the Herts County Cup second round, 1.30pm kick-off at Parmiters School, Watford.
