Last season’s Hemel Hempstead Leisure Leagues runners-up The Fellowship shared a 19-goal thriller with Wanderers FC in the latest round of matches.
Wanderers were missing captain Billy Tolhurst and, despite the efforts of Archie McCelland, The Fellowship were inspired to a narrow 10-9 victory by some excellent goalkeeping from man of the match Matt England.
Meanwhile, Fred West Ham vs Jobseeker’s Allowance was a relatively low key game, with neither side at their best.
Jobseeker’s will be disappointed to have lost their unbeaten record, as they were kept at bay by keeper Josh Sear in a 3-0 defeat.
Elsewhere, It was a night to forget for Hemel Elite who were given a football masterclass by Premiership newboys The Jackson 5-a-side.
Ben Hawkins and Haydn Cassidy netted a hat-trick apiece as Jackson romped to an emphatic 15-3 victory, despite the gutsy efforts of Elite keeper Chris Wyatt.
In other action, Puyol Pants Down battled well to increase their lead at the top of the Premiership with a 4-2 win over reigning champions Chicken Kiev. Team captain Dan Devine scored a valuable hat-trick.
While Mun City are yet to gain a point in the Championship, they are improving as a unit each week.
Their goalkeeper and man of the match Ben Papworth put in a brave display, but AEK Hemel ran out 15-4 winners, mainly thanks to front man Casey Linsell.
The Smeagles were keen to put last week’s defeat behind them in their clash with 2 Goals 1 Cup and they did exactly that.
Ben Hammond kept the team organised throughout and while there was little to separate the teams, The Smeagles edged ahead late on and won 8-7.
Meanwhile, George Ffitch worked hard for his team Norfolk & Chance who earned a valuable point in their draw with Cheeseham United – who also gain their first point.
Superb energy and determination from United’s Christoph Rohner paid dividends during the entertaining match which finished level at 6-6.
Gremio got their tactics absolutely right on Sunday and ended Butterflies FC’s unbeaten run with a 5-4 win. Craig Dicker was man of the match.
