Goals galore for juniors

Goals galore were scored in the junior football leagues.

This is especially true of the West Herts U11 Leagues, where Hemel Stags Aces Wasps U11 put in a real team performance to beat Bovingdon 8-1.

Bestone Matabile scored an incredible four goals, with Louis Smith (2) and Alex Merrill (2) also notching.

Comets Blues returned to winning form with a 10-2 thrashing of St Albans East.

Oran Swales opened the scoring followed by one each from hat-trick hero Cam Brooks and Zac Webb.

Man of the match Luke Armstrong (2), Kieran Domeney, Josh Price and Zac Webb completed the rout.

Jake Strain (4) and Ed Linnegar (3) helped Hemel Stags Aces Lions put Garston to the sword in a 9-1 thriller. James Verney and Tommy Lawton also scored.

Back in the U10s, Aces Stags Black marched on to the next round of the County Cup with a 3-1 victory over Evergreen Youth FC.

Goals came from Aaron Whitehead, Jamie Stone and Geoge Cavanagh.

Berkhamsted Town U13s also got back to winning ways against the previously unbeaten St Albans Rangers Red with braces from George Carbery, Luke Gurney and Stewart Howe.

Man of the match George Hayter was also on target late on to make it 7-5.

Hemel Town White lost their derby with Stags Aces Black 5-2.

Four goals from O'Neal Oteng and one from Conor Lowde did the business for Stags Aces.

A derby between Berkhamsted Raiders Red and Boxmoor Eagles ended 4-4.

Dan Drury notched two goals, with Calum Lindsay and Jake Little completing the scoring for Raiders.

Goalkeeper Scott Theobald was man of the match for a shot-stopping performance.

Watford Friendly League side Berko Raiders U18s buckled to Herons 4-2 after extra time in a nail-biting cup tie. Regular scorers James Williams and James Wade hit one each with Oscar Jackson man of the match.

Tom Smith, Ollie Gurney (2) and Luke Wood, scoring his first for the team, gave Echoes Orange a 4-2 win over St Albans City West. Man of the match was midfielder Perrie McClellan.
