AFTER a very poor start to the season, Hemel Rovers are at last showing signs of recovery with a 5-1 win over Croxley C&H.
Without a win in September, the side started October with a bang and Tom Porter (2), Sean Lane, Dan Field and Curtis Donaldson earned Rovers the three points.
SWR Doors also picked up a win as they beat Wellington Arms 3-1 . Dan Hartley (2) and Dan Holliman were on target.
Tring Athletic A were another team to taste victory as they saw off Harpenden Rovers 2-0. Martyn Travers and William Salmon did the damage.
Rovers Reserves won 4-2 at Philippine United thanks to Dave Flack, Wasim Hussain, John Smith and Josh Bromfield.
Bovingdon dropped two home points as they could only manage a 3-3 draw with Oxhey Wanderers, while Lewis Crowys bagged a hat-trick for Gadebridge FC in their 3-0 win over JC United.
Tring Athletic B went down 2-0 at Ricky St George, but Hemel Rovers’ A side gave the club their third win of the day.
In a clash of struggling sides, it was Hemel who grabbed all the points against Langleybury CC. Mark Padmore (3) and Rob Jackson sealed a 4-1 victory.
Hemel Sharpshooters also had the winning feeling as they saw off Hunton Bridge 2-1 thanks to a 25-yarder by Matt Reynolds and a volley from Dan Howard.
Potten End recorded a 3-2 win at Sarratt, with Dale Jenkins (2) and Duncan Howarth getting the goals.
