Hemel Hempstead Town FC midfielder Alex Campana has been named in England Futsal squad for their forthcoming trip to Malta.

England coach Peter Sturgess has selected a 14-man squad for the visit, and Campana got the nod following his impressive performances for the University of Brighton Futsal Club.

The Three Lions will take on Malta, Georgia and Greece over four days as their preparations for European Futsal Championship qualification continue.

They will open the tournament against Malta on Sunday, January 6 before facing Greece the following day. The trip is rounded off with a game against Georgia on Wednesday, January 9.

With Cyprus and Lithuania lying in wait in the preliminary qualifying round for the Euros just a few weeks later, these ties will provide Sturgess and his players another opportunity to find their form.

England will then be in action on home soil on February 8 and 9 when Turkey are the visitors to the SportHouse in Barking.
