Kings Langley Ladies maintained their unbeaten record in 2013 with an emphatic win over Bishop’s Stortford.

Kings opened their account with 13 minutes played when Kim Nield slotted home, but Stortford levelled things up with a rasping shot within a minute.

The hosts were in determined mood, however, and regained the lead when Nield lashed home from Meg Burrows’ corner, and the hot-shot completed her hat-trick on 28 minutes to put Kings 3-1 ahead.

Stortford pulled one back from the penalty spot, but Nicole Barrett bagged a brace before half-time to put Kings firmly in control.

From then on, there was only going to be one winner and Kings wrapped up the victory with further goals from Katie Nield and Barrett.

Second-placed Kings are still in with a chance of winning the title, six points adrift of top spot with three games left to play.

Next up for Langley is a home clash with Bedmond Ladies at Jarman Park on March 3.
