Kings Langley’s U18 side have been crowned Southern Counties Floodlight League Olympian Division champions for the first time.
Kings finally clinched the title by beating Leverstock Green 4-2 at Pancake Lane on Thursday night after a string of postponements had put their celebrations on hold.
Needing only a draw to snatch the title from Colney Heath, Kings galloped into a 3-0 lead before half-time courtesy of a Kane Axten strike and a brace from Matt Bateman.
When Harry Slade added a fourth in the second half, it seemed over, but Green ensured a thrilling last quarter by hitting back with two goals.
Kings stood firm, however, and clinched the title to the delight of manager Justin Stevens and assistant manager Kevin Owens.
