Hit-man Lewis Crowys struck twice as Gadebridge FC made it through to the next round of the Herts Junior Cup.

Chris Size was also on target for Gadebridge as they recorded a solid 3-1 victory at Broxbourne to keep their cup dreams alive.

It was not such good news for Hemel Rovers or Potten End, however, as they were both dumped out of the competition.

Olly Buckley got Rovers’ only goal in a disappointing 3-1 loss at Harpenden Rovers, while efforts from Dan Simpson and Dale Jenkins were not enough to prevent Potten End from slumping to a 6-2 home defeat against Oracle FC.

In league action, Division One side Hemel Rovers Reserves slipped to a surprise 3-1 home defeat to Sun Postal, despite a goal from Neil Perrin.

It was better news for Division Two outfit Tring Athletic B who overcame Harpenden Rovers Reserves 5-3 with Phil Monaghan, Ashley Obrien, Oscar Holden, Luke Holden and Matt Barnett all hitting the target.

A Nathan Jenkins goal was the only consolation for Division Three’s Bovingdon as they went down 3-1 to Maple Cross Reserves.
