Oxhey Jets grounded in a royal Kings performance

IT was a weekend to remember for Kings Sports as the Arlon Printers West Herts League side picked up a thumping 8-1 win over Oxhey Jets A.

Paul Heath bagged a hat-trick for Kings, and James Rourke (2), Brandon Murtagh, Chris Poutney and Sam Hills completed the scoring.

Hemel Rovers, meanwhile, were close to equalling Kings’ scoreline as they thrashed Met Police 7-1.

Tom Porter led the way for Rovers with three goals, while Michael Hoare , having his best game of the season, also got on the scoresheet.

A James Scott effort and a Ray Wood penalty completed the rout.

SWR Doors also picked up a good win as a Rick Parkins double helped them to a 3-0 win against Hadley. Dan Hartley also found the net.

Elsewhere, Ashley O’Brien (2), Tom Haynes, Steve Sandford and Phil Monaghan fired Tring Athletic ‘B’ to a 5-2 victory over Hunton Bridge.

A Tom Childs goal, though, could not prevent defeat for Bovingdon as they were beaten 4-1 at Philippine United.

In the Berkhamsted Sunday Football League Premier Division, AC Hemel came out on top in a seven goal thriller with Flaunden.

Aston Alleyne’s double, as well as goals from Jon Hussey and Curtis Donalson, sealed the win.

Berko Tornadoes and Comets Sports Club picked up a win each in their double-header, with Andy Wheeler-King (2) and Ricky Shepherd sealing Berko’s 3-2 triumph and Dan Holliman netting the only goal in Comets’ victory.

In Division One, Craig Lockley bagged a hat-trick for Park Rangers in their 6-2 win over Berko Rangers, while Scott Carrington netted a brace for The Herald as they overcame Boxmoor FC 4-3.

The Robin Hood were the highest scorers in Division Two as five different scorers were on target in their 5-3 win at Landrovers Reserves.

Jon Abraham, James Bushe, Dan To, Che To and Bruce Russell all found the net for The Robin Hood, while Comets Sports Club Reserves secured a 3-1 victory over Apsley Villa.

In Division Three, four goals from Matt Honey and a Liam Schutes double helped KLCC AMS to an easy 9-1 win against Anchor Tring.

Matt Harrington netted twice for The Three Blackbirds in their 4-0 win over Potten End Sunday, while Berko Tornadoes Reserves saw off The Queens Head 2-1 and FC Intervino and AMG United drew 2-2.

Ross Eddy was on fire for Echoes in their 5-1 win at Green Park Rovers in Division Four, and Juan Villa scored a hat-trick in AC Grapes’ 5-3 win over Galley Hill Rangers.

A Warren Davies double helped Inter Hemel Sunday to a 4-0 win over The Bull Athletic.
