Dale Jenkins and Christian Wren got the goals to keep Potten End’s cup dreams alive.
It was not such good news for Tring Athletic B, however, as they were knocked out of the competition after a 2-1 loss at Northchurch FC. Ashley O’Brien was the scorer for Tring.
Meanwhile, Premier League action saw Tring Athletic A beat Hemel Rovers 3-2 in an entertaining clash.
Glen Sizer, Patrick Rushton and an own goal gave Tring a comfy 3-0 lead, before a pile-driver from Ray Wood and a Paul Jones effort meant a nervy finish for the hosts.
Elsewhere, Kings Sports suffered a weekend to forget as they were thrashed 10-0 at Maple Cross, and another side to get a mauling were Hemel Rovers Reserves who were trounced by Gadebridge FC.
Lewis Crowys found the net four times, with Alfie Mullan getting a brace and Dan Holliman, Charlie Martindale and Stuart Meaney all on target in an emphatic 9-1 win. Mike McQuade got Rovers’ consolation.
Completing a bad day for Hemel Rovers were the A team who went down 8-0 at home to London Colney Blues.
Bovingdon FC lost 3-1 at home to Global FC, with Harry Woods hitting the target for the hosts.
