It will be a case of déjà vu for Hemel Hempstead Town tomorrow as they battle it out with Bideford for the second time in the space of just five days.

Hemel won Tuesday night’s clash 4-1 in a soggy Calor League Southern Premier Division fixture at Vauxhall Road, but they look set for a sterner test in the return match at The Sports Ground tomorrow.

Hemel are currently flying high at the top of the division – having won each of their last nine fixtures – and Tuesday’s win opened up an 11-point lead over second placed Cambridge City.

Bideford are enjoying a good season themselves and currently occupy fifth spot in the table – although they are a massive 21 points adrift of the table-topping Tudors.

Hot-shot striker Ben Mackey is on scintillating form for Hemel and has already notched more than 30 goals so far this campaign.

Hemel go into the match as favourites, and football statistics and predictions website betstatz.com fancies a narrow win for Dean Brennan’s side.

“With the best home attack in Europe – 57 goals in 12 home league games – it was no surprise to us when Hemel beat Bideford 4-1 on Tuesday,” said betstatz owner Nick Gelis.

“Bideford away will be a tougher game, however once again the stats are in Hemel’s favour.

“Bideford have conceded 14 goals in the last seven games but they have also scored in 21 out of the last 24 league games, so they have a clinical attack but have a defensive weakness.

“Therefore this week we are predicting the Hemel win, both teams to score and a correct score of 2-1 Hemel.”
