Four fledgling teams joined the Futsal revolution as the new league season got under way at Sportspace last week.
The Hemel Hempstead centre hosts the fiercely competitive league, and former champions include current National Futsal League side LB Herts – Hertfordshire’s first national league representatives.
With LB Herts not taking part this time around, new champions will be crowned.
Established sides JFK Allstars, Middlesex University and Sportspace Longdean will be competing for the title alongside the four new boys.
Heading the list of new teams are BD Munich, a group of players from North London. Their manager has played in the league before and has now decided to set up his own side.
Herald United are made up of players from the Berkhamsted Sunday Football League who are playing Futsal for the first time, while the Art of Skills are a group of 16 and 17-year-old lads looking to develop their skills.
Completing the line-up is a team of students from the University of Hertfordshire, who have joined the league after playing several friendly matches.
The Futsal scene in Hertfordshire is growing fast, and anyone interested in getting involved in the sport should contact Hertfordshire FA leagues officer Adam Jones on 01462 650210, or email email@example.com
