U9s - hemel panthers go through to the semi finals after beating watford town red 2 - 0, both goals came in the 2nd half from jack guiton and joe chott,

League:

West Herts Under 10

Result:

Kings Langley Tigers 0 St Albans City Youth 4

Details:

On a spring like morning, league leaders St. Albans wasted little time in opening up a two goal lead. This prompted Kings Langley into a response, but despite threatening, they couldn't get that elusive goal that their attack play merited. In the second half, Tigers kept pressing but St Albans broke out of defence quickly and well, with good passing, and punished Tigers with two more goals. Kings Langley, again with no subs, didn't give up. Some good 'keeping and defending kept St Albans at bay, whilst at the other end, Chris Wright's super effort hit the inside of the post and Jay Maycock also hit the woodwork. Tiger of the Match was Georgina Weller for a fine defensive display, getting in some great tackles.

comets started the game with a man down against a good hemel team.both sides played hard from the start, each showing what good football they can play.some good passing from comets saw them break through the hemel defence and mark johnson put comets ahead.comets continued the pressure and were unlucky not to get a second goal.a quick break from hemel saw them equalise.both teams kept the pressure on with some great football which saw hemel go 2-1 up.connor wharfe kept comets in the game with some great goalkeeping.although under pressure comets never gave up trying to get the equaliser but eventually time ran out.congratulations must go to all the comets team of jordan allen, connor oshea, james hobday, mark johnson, charlie turner and man of the match connor wharfe for a fantastic performance.well done.

Comets Blues 4 - Harpenden 1

A Top of the table clash saw Comet gain revenge for a defeat two weeks ago, with an excellent display. Harpenden took an early lead but from that point it was one way traffic. Oran swales levelled the scoring after a delightful through ball from Danny Stier. The second half saw Comets pile on the pressure and after some good work in the box, Rob Morrison struck a neat left foot into the corner.

Comets continued to press and Oran finished off a neat move with some great individual skill striking past the keeper. Danny Stier topped off his best performance in the closing minutes with a great finish to put the icing on the cake for Comets. A great alround performance. Danny Stier MOM

West Herts U10: Chipperfield 2 v Berkhamsted Raiders White 2

Raiders came back from 2 goals down with a strong second half display. Goals from Blew Foley and George Ranger clinching a well deserved point. Kyle Macfarlane and Lewis Norwood had outstanding games for Raiders.

U11s

Berkhamsted Raiders Red 6 Bovingdon 0

Details:

A much improved Raiders team fired in 6 goals against a team they lost to just 2 weeks ago. With real drive and passion they took the game to Bovingdon with Ben Silcock slotting home in the first 2 minutes. Raiders had much of the possession and James Parry doubled the score before half time. In the second half Raiders had to defend well with Matty Lee making some important interceptions. However Raiders kept on pressing and further goals from James Parry, Sam Ivory, Jake Williamson and Matty Lee wrapped up a convincing win. Matty Lee was Man of the Match

League:

West Herts Under 14

Result:

Abbots Youth 2 Berkhamsted Raiders White 3

Details:

Abbots were 2 - 0 up going into the last 10 minutes of the match when Raiders fought back in a dramtic fashion. Charlie Phillips started the comeback with a cool finish follow in quick succession with a Callum James strike with Ollie Johnson scoring the winner

Tornadoes 1 ACORN RAIDERS 1

Acorn produced a much better performance today after last weeks display. Acorn started the game much brighter with 2 good chances early on. Both times RICHARD ASIMBA found himself through on goal but unable to tuck the ball away. Acorn were suddenly behind when a sweetly struck shot from their player was brilliantly tipped onto the post by SCOTT BULLOCK only for the ball to bounce out into the six yard box where two tornadoes players reacted quickest to poke the ball home. Acorn pressed but were unable to equalise until midway through the second half when a fumble by their keeper allowed RICHARD ASIMBA to set up JOE PICTON who shot into an empty net from 20 yards. Acorn had most of the remaining chances but overall a draw looked a fair result. Acorns M.O.M. went to HARRY SLADE for an outstanding debut at left back. BRILLIANT RESPONSE AND ATTITUDE FROM ACORN RAIDERS. THANK YOU

Watford Friendly League - Yellow Division

Chipperfield maintained top position with a convincing 5- 0 over Aldenham. Jack Burrows started the scoring with his first goal for Chipperfield but the scoring ended then until 15 minutes into the second half when Jack Twomey added the second. At this point the pressure lifted and Chipps took complete control and scored 3 further goals in the next 5 minutes. Louis Stead scored the pick of the goals with a tremendous strike from all of 35 yards. Josh Underwood fired home the fourth goal and he was then brought down for the penalty that Sunnie Cresswell comfortably converted
