Talisman Vardy does the double at Tring Athletic presentation evening

Tring Athletic held their end of season awards night where they looked back on a satisfactory campaign.

The First Team Players’ Player award went to Chris Vardy, who also scooped the prize for First Team Supporters’ Player.

Graham Hall was named First Team Manager’s Player, while the Reserves Players’ Player was Ryan Caterer and the Reserves Manager’s Player was Dan Steadman .

The A Team Players’ Player prize went to Glen Sizer, and the Manager’s Player was Rob Lear, while Ben Murcott and Deano Griffiths took the awards for the B Team.

In addition, there were Supporters’ Appreciation Awards given to long standing and loyal first team players Chris Salmon and Graham Hall. There was further recognition of Salmon’s introduction to the 300 Club having reached 338 appearances for the Tring.

Clubman of the Year was a joint award made to reserve team managers Colin Phillips and Chris Jurazsek whose team lost out on the league title on goal difference but have been promoted to the Suburban Football League Premier Division.

Thank you gifts were also given to Colin Sturges, Darrell Bodimeade, Dee Wells, Gill Eldridge, Sandra Foskett, Ali Parker, Amanda Stacey and the youngsters who work in the kitchen on match days.

Meanwhile, Athletic have a vacancy for a team manager and coach to run their A Team who play in the West Herts Saturday League Premier Division.
