Hemel Hempstead Town manager Dean Brennan is continuing to strengthen his squad ahead of the 2013/14 season.

The Tudors have agreed new contracts with midfielder David Hutton and youngster Ben Pattie, while striker Ben Mackey arrives at Vauxhall Road from Stourbridge & St Neots, defender Ollie Thorne joins from league rivals Arlesey Town, and front-man Lewis Toomey returns for his second stint at the club.

As well as Hutton and Pattie, a dozen of last season’s Hemel squad have already pledged their commitment to the Tudors by signing new contracts in the past few weeks.

On their way out of the club are Matt Nolan and Joe Bruce, who have both signed for newly-promoted Dunstable Town.

Centre-forward Ryan Charles has also confirmed that he will leaving Vauxhall Road after failing to reach an agreement with the club, and he is on the verge of joining Boston United.

Charles wished Hemel well for the future, tweeting: “I wish everyone the best, top club.”

The Tudors will be targeting automatic promotion from the Evo-Stik League Southern Premier Division next season, having missed out in the play-off final against Gosport at the end of the 2012/13 campaign.
