An emphatic 4-1 victory for title challengers Kings Sports over Martin Baker Rovers saw them move into third place in the West Herts League Premier Division.
A brace from debutante Stuart Harrison paved the way for the win and his strikes were backed up by further goals from Brandon Murtagh and Dan Tomkins.
Elsewhere, Tring Athletic A suffered a 2-0 home defeat against Maple Cross and Hemel Rovers were completely outplayed by Hadley.
Rovers were lucky to go down by only a 3-1 margin as poor finishing by the Hadley forwards saved them from a complete battering. Paul Hanafan got the consolation goal for the Hemel side.
Division One side Hemel Rovers Reserves, meanwhile, fared much better as they defeated Philippine United 5-2.
Asher Alleyne added two more goals to his season’s total and Richard Wade also weighed in with a brace, before Josh Bromfield found the net to complete the scoring for Hemel.
Pitstone and Ivinghoe were in unstoppable form, thrashing Wheathampstead 6-0.
Division Two outfit Gadebridge FC showed up well to beat Tring Athletic B 3-2 – with Lewis Crowys, Dan Hartley and Chris Size all on target for the hosts.
In Holloway Trophy action, Drew Duggan made sure that Hemel Rovers A progressed to the next round at the expense of Hunton Bridge.
Duggan was in clinical form in front of goal and his four-goal salvo plus a Chris Chafer effort gave the team a comfortable 5-0 success.
