Watford Ladies FC promotional day in Berkhamsted

Despite heavy rain showers, Watford Ladies FC enjoyed a successful promotion day in Berkhamsted.

The club’s staff, including chairman Chris Crickitt, first team manager John Salomon and first team coach Steve Edwards managed to distribute more than 300 fixture lists and season ticket forms, and chatted with Berkhamsted residents in the town centre to promote awareness that the club is coming to town.

First Team Assistant Manager Chris Thurston and a number of the senior squad players also put on some football activities for a group of local children once the sun came out.

One lucky fan from Berkhamsted, Glynn Young, was the recipient of a signed Watford FC men’s shirt.

Glynn, a Watford FC season ticket holder, said: “It’s really great news that there is top level football coming to town and I’ll definitely be coming along to support the ladies,” he said.

“I’m sure that there will be many others in town and Watford fans that will feel the same.”
