PREPARATIONS for the new football season are well under way at Hemel Town FC, and the club’s pre-season friendly schedule looks sure to whet the appetite of the Tudors faithful.

Hemel are under new management this season, with Dean Brennan having replaced Mark Eaton at the end of the last campaign.

And Brennan has wasted no time is setting up some mouthwatering home practice fixtures for the Tudors faithful to savour.

A MK Dons XI are the first big-name side who will head to Vauxhall Road when they take on Hemel on Thursday, August 2 at 7.30pm.

Brennan’s side will then take on a Reading XI on Tuesday, August 7 at 7.45pm.

The team’s other big pre-season fixture is a clash with Cheshunt FC in the Herts Charity Cup on Thursday, August 9 at 7.45pm.

The fixtures will be valuable match practice for the Tudors as they head into the new Southern Premier League season, and entrance for the games will cost £8 for adults, £5 for concessions, and £1 for children.

As well as their home matches, Hemel have lined up a host of pre-season away fixtures.

Brennan’s men will travel to Newport Pagnell, Kings Langley, Leverstock Green, Enfield 1893, Aylesbury, AFC Dunstable, Great Yarmouth and Didcot Town.

Meanwhile, tickets are still available for the club’s sponsorship draw.

Tickets cost £25 each, and offer businesses and individuals the chance to win prizes totalling more than £10,000.

First prize is first team home shirt sponsorship for the 2012/13 season, as well as advertising boards, website sponsorship, programme adverts and two season tickets.
