Tring Athletic went down 2-1 at home to Hillingdon Borough in a game which had a strong end of season feel about it.
The first half which was particularly uninspiring with neither side doing enough to threaten a goal.
Athletic did rouse themselves early in the second period, and within eight minutes they had taken the lead.
Livewire Chris Vardy picked the ball up 25 yards from goal and fired a superb shot that arrowed into the top corner to give the visiting keeper no chance.
Within five minutes of going behind the Hillingdon manager decided to try his luck by bringing on two subs – and that changed the game.
Boro began to look more threatening and in the 72nd minute Kieron Gradwell equalised before grabbing his second two minutes later to hand his side the three points.
