Zyon's like a diamond for Lions

Hemel Stags Aces U11 Lions secured their fourth win in a row helped along by a Zyon-Reavil-Blake brace.

The Red Division leaders beat Watford Youth White 5-0 in their first home match of the season, James Verney, Ed Linnegar and Jake Strain getting the other goals.

One boy to go one better than Zyon was in-form Jack Gillings.

His hat-trick was the driving force behind Acorn Raiders' 6-2 defeat of Berkhamsted Raiders in Division Four.

Matthew Lee hit two to add to his six scored the previous week, with man of the match Luke Bradley netting the other goal to seal a convincing win.

Another Berko Raiders side fared a little better than Acorn's opponents.

First half goals from Daniel Macey, Ben Ranger and Luke Waterman put Berko 3-1 up at half time against Rickmansworth.

Their opponents scored two quick goals in the second half to draw level, with keeper Sam Beck keeping Raiders in the game thereafter.

Two late goals from Toby Hendy and James Sibley eased the nerves and secured a 5-3 win.

A Division Three derby saw Hemel Stags Aces Wasps leave Tring Tornadoes Jets with all three points.

Louis Smith grabbed two great goals to keep up Wasps' unbeaten record and end that of Jets during a 2-1 win for the away side.

Another Aces side saw off Tornado JSC 3-0.

Man of the match Callum Elmer put in a great performance for Aces, with Aaron Whitehead, George Cavanagh and Billy Hurley finding the net to give their side a stylish win.

At U13 level, another goal-packed thriller for Berkhamsted Raiders Red saw them go down 5-3 at Chorleywood Common Phoenix.

Raiders' Matthew Pollard and Matthew Dawson set up Dan Drury for his hat-trick, while full backs Billy Docwra and Kieron Lupini were outstanding.

Adam Horwood earned man of the match for a combative display in central midfield.

In the Watford Friendly League Berko Raiders U18 hit the St Albans Rangers post twice before James Williams converted a classy cross from James Wade.

St Albans equalised to make it 1-1 at the final whistle. Full-back Will Brookman was man of match for Raiders.
