Shendish Manor Golf Club is calling on young golfers in Dacorum to take a swing for the British Heart Foundation by entering this year’s Junior Golf Championship.

The Junior Golf Championship 2013, which will raise vital funds for heart charity, gets under way with a preliminary round at Shendish on Tuesday, March 19.

Teams of three junior golfers will compete to win a place in the grand final at DeVere Staverton Park Hotel, Northamptonshire, on May 28.

Paul Charge, junior golf manager at the BHF, said: “Every seven minutes, someone in the UK dies of a heart attack.

“By taking part in the BHF’s Junior Golf Championship, young golfers will be using their golfing skills to help the nation’s heart charity to continue its life-saving work”.

For more information on the Junior Golf Championship, or to enter a team, contact Anjna Kanani at akevents101@yahoo.co.uk or visit bhf.org.uk/juniorgolf for a full list of qualifying rounds. Golfers must be 18 or under to enter.
