A group of 26 Gade Valley Harriers represented the club at the penultimate fixture of the Chiltern League Cross Country series at Upton Court Park.
The ladies’ senior team continued their winning streak by finishing in first place for the third fixture in succession, creating a healthy lead at the top of Division Two.
The men also had a brilliant run, joining the ladies in winning their senior competition in style, and confirming the Harriers as winners of the combined seniors category.
As a bonus, the men also picked up first place in the men’s veterans’ competition.
The Harriers proved a formidable team, so much so that they achieved the highest number of points on the day, winning the fixture outright.
The Harriers are now focused on the last fixture of the season as they attempt to cement their promotion into Division One next season.
Meanwhile, Harrier Karis Thomas was in action in the Capital Runners Richmond Park 10K just one day after competing in Slough.
She set a PB of 55m 58s, knocking a whopping three and a half minutes off her previous PB and a whole four minutes and 59 seconds off her record at the same course last year.
