The Druid Challenge will be returning for the fifth year as runners tackle the multistage race along the oldest roadway in the UK, reportedly dating back to 3000 BC.

The route, devised by race director Neil Thubron, takes competitors from Ivinghoe Beacon to Swindon over three days, with two overnight stops in Watlington and Wantage.

The Druid Challenge, which runs from November 8-10, has been classified as a qualifying event for those aiming for the Ultra Trail du Mont Blanc.
