Ashton takes an early lead at in the Little Hay Summer Evening League

The popular Little Hay Summer Evening League got under way last week, with 29 players competing.

Played as a 9-hole Stableford, there will be six rounds with each player’s best four scores counting towards their overall total.

Patrick Ashton has taken an early lead with 22 points, while Jamie McIvor was second with 21 and George Rocca was close behind with 20.

Elsewhere, the ladies played their Stableford competition which also acted as a qualifier for the NAPGC Burhill Tournament.

Jackie Joslyn was first with 41 points, ahead of Clare Stammeijer and Bobbie Barnes.

Little Hay Juniors will be holding their half-term competitions on Monday, May 26 and Wednesday, May 28. Newcomers are welcome.
